The Holidays were a mess we had 2 deaths in the family. Then J & I were sick. Gotten over that then last Sunday he woke up with a fever & stomach ache!!! He ended up with no school this week. Which was hard on me because I'm used to some me time while he's at school. Parents of special needs children need some serious me time because I believe we do a whole lot more than most parents. J still can button or snap his clothes, or open bottles & such. I have to do it for him, therapy is working in some ways with his grasping, the OT tells me he can do big buttons now. I can't wait until he can do the smalls ones. While they only had a 3 day week. I needed those 3 days. Now he doesn't go back until Tuesday praying that all goes well & he's feeling better. He had to go back on the breathing machine for his asthma. I was so happy we didn't have to use one any more so I was sad that had to go & pick one up. At least they are smaller now & not so heavy.

I might get my hair done later today which will give me a couple of hours for a break. I hope all goes well. I'm about to take a Motrin PM so I can sleep. Have a good night parents.

Bad News Today

J & I were referred to DDSN Board for those of you who don't know it's called Department of Disability & Special Needs for the umpteenth time & were denied again!!!

Stating that J did not show enough Mental Retardation & he didn't look autistic!!!

What in the world??? How does Autism Look??? & Because J has great teachers & started retaining his knowledge he's basically not stupid enough to qualify for services??? He has a lot of other Autistic issues that meets the eye. All I could do was cry because I need the help with diapers & respite care. This does not make any sense at all!!! Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I just can't stand some of these state agencies!!!

Hi my name is R. L. Pringle & I am a Single Mother of one Autistic Son. You may wonder why I say it that way. Well I'm finding myself in the dating field saying that sentence & seems like guys disaapear!!! This blog will be my journey of J & I dealing with Autism & me being single!!!

J want's me to get a date he says lol he doesn't know how hard that is. He's trying to plan my wedding because he wants a dad like the other kids in his class go figure huh???
